Hello! I’m Kayla Becker, the creator of Kindled Light Crochet. I started crocheting about a year and a half ago and I haven’t stopped since. While blankets and scarves are fun to make, I found my niche in amigurumi (crochet stuffed animals). It has become my main creative (and therapeutic) outlet, and something I hope to eventually grow into a business.

I created Kindled Light Crochet as a place to share my works in progress, my favorite patterns, and tips and tricks I’ve learned. I’m still learning and growing in my craft, and I hope you’ll come along with me on this journey. My goal for this blog, as well as my Instagram page (@kindledlightcrochet) is to inspire others to create and to spread joy. The name Kindled Light Crochet was inspired by a Carl Jung quote that says, “As far as we can discern, the sole purpose of human existence is to kindle a light of meaning in the darkness of mere being.” I hope that, as my craft grows, it will do just that. Give me purpose and allow me to spread happiness and positivity.
